Description:
1. In accordance with the letter from the Humanistic Education Foundation, dated December 20, 107 (2018), Ref: Humanistic Secret No. 1070009200.
2. This year (107/2018), on December 7th, the foundation published "Silent Islands - A Chronicle of Campus Sexual Assault Incidents" (authored by Chen Zhao-ru), which documents four real campus sexual assault cases that the foundation assisted in handling. To raise public awareness of campus sexual assault issues, the foundation also organized a series of forums after the publication.
3. Regarding the prevention of campus sexual assault, the immediate priority should be to enhance the gender equality awareness of school faculty and staff, and to jointly build a safe campus. Therefore, the foundation, in collaboration with the Youth and Children's Issues Committee of the Taipei Bar Association and the Teacher Education Center of National Taipei University, is co-organizing a book launch forum. The speakers invited are the book's author, Chen Zhao-ru, the foundation's Southern Office Director, Zhang Ping, and Professor Wang Xiao-dan from the Department of Law at National Chengchi University. It is hoped that through the review and examination of the cases in this book, the protection of children's bodily autonomy will be realized, and more importantly, it will provide frontline educators with insights from past experiences to improve and better handle campus gender equality education and related incidents.
