The Hakka Affairs Council is organizing the "2025 Hakka Contribution Award." Applications are now open and will be accepted until Monday, June 30, 2025.

Details:
1. In accordance with the Hakka Affairs Council's (hereinafter referred to as the HAC) official letter dated May 22, 2025, HAC-Zong-Zi No. 1146000486.

2. The HAC initiated the "Hakka Contribution Award" in 2007. To date, 10 sessions have honored 87 outstanding Hakka individuals, both domestically and internationally. Each year, the award recipients are selected through rigorous and meticulous review meetings by a consensus of the judging panel. The awardees are exemplary role models for the Hakka community and represent the most significant honor for Hakka people worldwide.

3. According to Article 3 of the "Hakka Affairs Council Hakka Contribution Award Regulations," the three award categories are the "Lifetime Contribution Award," the "Outstanding Achievement Award," and the "Special Contribution Award." The "Lifetime Contribution Award" has a maximum of 2 recipients (nomination is required to be considered) and comes with a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of NT$1,000,000, which is the highest cash prize for awards of this nature in Taiwan. The "Outstanding Achievement Award" typically has 1 to 3 recipients per category, though the judging committee may increase the number of recipients based on the contributions of the nominated individuals or groups. Recipients will receive a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of NT$200,000. The "Special Contribution Award" is an honorary award with a maximum of 3 recipients, who will each receive a trophy and a certificate.
