II. Target Audience
According to the Ministry of Education's "Standards for Student Learning Assessment in Elementary and Junior High Schools," for learning areas where students' academic performance does not reach a C grade, a make-up assessment shall be conducted through diverse assessment methods. III. Implementation Methods
(1) Within one month after the end of each semester, a list of learning areas where students' semester grades do not reach a C grade will be posted on the school website and the school hall bulletin board, and make-up exam notices will be distributed on the day before the start of the new semester. Students should participate in the make-up assessment organized by the school on the designated date. The scope of the assessment will be based on the teaching content of that semester, and the method will be diverse assessment. Make-up exams are only conducted once per semester. Except for force majeure, failure to participate by the deadline will be considered a waiver of the opportunity for make-up assessment.
(2) Students who pass the make-up assessment in the preceding paragraph will have their grade in that learning area calculated as sixty points. However, the make-up exam score will only be used as a basis for graduation and will not be included in the graduation grade calculation. For those who fail the make-up assessment, the original grade for that learning area will be maintained. (3) Within one month after the make-up exams are completed, a grade warning notice will be issued for the learning areas where students' semester grades did not reach a C grade. Homeroom teachers should contact parents, and if necessary, school counselors may provide assistance. (4) For students who have not met the graduation standards, the school may issue a graduation certificate or a certificate of completion based on their performance in the make-up assessment after the make-up assessment. IV. Implementation Details (1) Exam questions for the make-up assessment will be created by each subject area. (2) The list of students for make-up exams will be generated and announced by the Registration Section of the Academic Affairs Office within one month after the end of each semester.
(3) Make-up assessments: For centralized make-up assessments, the Academic Affairs Office will announce the classroom allocation table before the exam. Students taking the make-up exam will be seated in the classrooms and seats designated by the Academic Affairs Office to take the exam. For non-centralized make-up assessments, the instructor will assign specific tasks to be completed and submitted to the instructor within the specified deadline to complete the remedial grading for the semester. (4) Grade announcement: The Registration Section of the Academic Affairs Office will announce the make-up exam results within one month after the end of the make-up exams, and will record the make-up exam scores in accordance with the school's supplementary regulations on student performance assessment. (5) Grade warning and counseling: A grade warning notice will be issued for learning areas where the C grade has not been reached within one month after the make-up exams. Homeroom teachers should contact parents, and if necessary, school counselors may provide assistance.
(6) Remedial teaching: Remedial teaching will be provided in class or after school as appropriate. V. Supplementary Matters 1. Students must wear the school uniform or sportswear and bring their student ID card when attending the semester make-up exam registration and examination. Those who violate this rule will not be accepted for registration or examination.
