Announcement: "112 Academic Year Taoyuan City Students with Disabilities Adaptive Counseling Placement" Brochure

| I. | In accordance with the "Implementation Guidelines for the Appropriate Placement of Students with Disabilities in Senior High Schools in Taoyuan City" and the "Taoyuan Special Education School's Official Letter No. 1110010044 dated November 9, 2022." |
| II. | The applicable subjects for this brochure (must meet all of the following qualifications): |
| (1) | Graduates of junior high school or those with equivalent academic qualifications (who have not participated in appropriate counseling placement (including the original 12-year schooling placement)). Equivalent academic qualifications shall be handled in accordance with the "Standards for Recognizing Equivalent Academic Qualifications for Admission to Senior High Schools." |
| (2) | Students holding a Republic of China identification number, who have been identified as qualified by the special education student identification and counseling committee of the special municipality or county (city). |
| (3) | Confirmed cases registered on the Ministry of Education's Special Education Notification Network before December 31, 2023, and the registered disability category must comply with the type of brochure being applied for. |
| III. | There are three types of brochures for the appropriate counseling placement of students with disabilities in Taoyuan City for the 2023 academic year. Students can only choose one brochure to apply for and cannot apply for multiple. Furthermore, they cannot participate in the appropriate counseling placement organized by the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration or other special municipalities. Violators will have their placement qualifications revoked. The placement types are as follows: |
| (1) | Brochure for the Appropriate Counseling Placement of Students with Disabilities in Special Education Schools in Taoyuan City for the 2023 Academic Year. |
| (2) | Brochure for the Appropriate Counseling Placement of Students with Disabilities in Concentrated Special Education Classes in Senior High Schools in Taoyuan City for the 2023 Academic Year. |
| (3) | Brochure for the Appropriate Counseling Placement of Students with Disabilities in Senior High Schools in Taoyuan City for the 2023 Academic Year. |
| IV. | The available positions for the appropriate counseling placement of students with disabilities in Taoyuan City for the 2023 academic year will be announced on the "Taoyuan City Students with Disabilities Appropriate Counseling Placement Website" (https://tyshse.special.tyc.edu.tw) before December 30, 2023. Please check the website for details. |
| V. | The important placement schedule for this brochure is as follows (details can be found in each brochure): |
| (1) | Online Registration: Junior high schools shall complete the online registration process on the "Taoyuan City Senior High School Special Education Service E-Platform" (URL: https://tyshse.special.tyc.edu.tw/special/) from February 6 to February 19, 2023. |
| (2) | Submission of Application Materials: Junior high schools shall compile the collective registration list and submit the application forms to the Taoyuan City Senior High School Special Education Resource Center (Taoyuan Special Education School) from February 20 to March 1, 2023. |
| (3) | For those applying for the "Brochure for the Appropriate Counseling Placement of Students with Disabilities in Senior High Schools in Taoyuan City for the 2023 Academic Year," the assessment tools for the interest and aptitude tests in the career transition recommendation form are as follows: |
| 1. | The "Adaptive Career Aptitude Test (Junior High School Version)" and the "Situational Career Interest Test (Junior High School Version)" developed by the Research and Development Center for Psychology and Educational Testing at National Taiwan Normal University will be used. Schools must assist students in completing these tests before registration. For these tests, please apply for an account and password on the Career Testing System website (https://career.ntnu.edu.tw/) and download the test manual for reference. |
| 2. | Considering the objectivity and fairness of the process, only visually impaired students who are unable to view a computer for testing will be administered the "Junior High School Career Interest Inventory (Second Edition)" and the "Revised Junior High School Multiple Aptitude Test" as alternatives. |
| 3. | Each school shall implement individualized testing for students with disabilities and provide appropriate assessment methods based on the students' needs (such as difficulties with literacy or reading comprehension) to facilitate their appropriate schooling. |
| VI. | Please ensure that your school posts this information on the homepage of the school website and strengthens publicity. Please also assist students and parents with needs in preparing application materials and other related matters. |
| VII. | This brochure is also posted on the "Taoyuan City Students with Disabilities Appropriate Counseling Placement Website" (https://tyshse.special.tyc.edu.tw) and the "Appropriate Counseling Placement for Students with Disabilities" website (https://adapt.set.edu.tw). |
