Academic Affairs Office Announcement

Regarding the training course "2019 Advance Decision Seed Promoter Training" organized by our government's Department of Health on August 14, 2019.

I. The Patient Autonomy Act came into effect on January 6, 2019. To protect patients' medical rights and ensure everyone has the right to be informed, choose, and decide regarding their medical conditions, our city's Health Bureau has invited Ms. Tan Dun-ci, the spokesperson for advance medical directives, to share her personal experience of signing an advance medical directive and use touching stories to promote the Patient Autonomy Act and the concept of advance medical directives. We hope to cultivate community seed promoters to deeply engage in community outreach, thereby enhancing public awareness and knowledge of advance medical directives.
II. The details of the aforementioned course are as follows:
(I) Course Date: August 14, 2019 (Wednesday).
(II) Course Time: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Registration from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM).
(III) Course Location: 2nd Floor Conference Hall, Taoyuan City General Conference Hall (2nd Floor, No. 11, Xianfu Road, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City).
(IV) Participants: Village chiefs, village secretaries, volunteers, and the general public from all districts of this city.
(V) Course Duration: A total of 1 hour. A certificate for volunteer hours will be issued to those who complete the training.
III. Registration Method: This educational training is a free course. Online registration is open from June 14, 2019, to August 9, 2019. Please complete the registration process and download the brochure within the deadline on the Taoyuan City Government Health Bureau's official website (http://dph.tycg.gov.tw Homepage > Convenient Services > Online Services > Online Registration). The training capacity is 200 participants, on a first-come, first-served basis.
IV. For this matter, the Bureau agrees that personnel from your school (unit) may attend with official (business) leave, provided it does not interfere with their teaching duties and they are responsible for their own arrangements.
