Description:
I. To promote teenagers' willingness and enthusiasm for service learning, implement social care and service, and develop teenagers' potential and create self-worth, this plan (as detailed in Attachment 1) is specially formulated. The main service directions are to provide support and service-learning-related activities based on the activity schedule of this department.
II. Recruitment targets: Teenagers aged 12 to 24 who are registered residents of Taipei City or are studying in public or private junior high schools or above in Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, or Taoyuan City (including self-learners) and have enthusiasm for social service.
III. Recruitment period: From now until January 31, 2020.
IV. Application method:
(I) Online application through the department's official website (application URL: http://class.tcyd.gov.taipei/. Members must register first before applying).
(II) Before applying, please carefully read Attachment 1 - Taipei City Youth Development Administration's Regulations for Promoting Youth Volunteers, Attachment 2 - 2020 Youth Volunteer Recruitment Plan, and Attachment 3 - Volunteer Scheduling and Service Rules. Please also complete and sign (1) 'Volunteer Intent Form' and (2) 'Parental Consent Form' attached to Attachment 2 (both volunteer and parent must sign by hand, then convert to PDF or take a clear photo, ensuring the photo is not skewed). Also attach (3) 'ID Photo' (do not use casual photos). Be sure to include the subject line in your email: Volunteer Intent Form and Parental Consent Form - (Student's Name), and send it to the organizer's email address: enya@mail.taipei.gov.tw.
V. Selection method: A written review will be conducted based on the reasons for application, relevant experience, interests, expertise, and volunteer time planning. 10-20 students will be selected for interviews. After the interviews, the list of selected students will be announced on the department's website, and those selected will be notified by email to attend special volunteer training.
