| Explanation: |
| I. | In accordance with the letter from the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, dated May 10, 112 (Tai Jiao Guo Shu Xue Zi No. 1120059274). |
| II. | Regarding the payment recipients for isolation and treatment costs for COVID-19 confirmed cases, the Center's letter dated December 28, 111 (Fei Zhong Zhi Zi No. 1113700637) informed that starting from January 1 of this year (112), non-Taiwanese nationals without National Health Insurance status who are diagnosed in Taiwan during their stay will be responsible for their own isolation and treatment costs. |
| III. | The Center was approved to be disbanded on May 1 of this year, and COVID-19 was adjusted to a Category 4 infectious disease on the same day. For confirmed COVID-19 cases that meet the case definition, the payment of isolation and treatment costs shall be handled in accordance with Article 44, Paragraph 3 of the Communicable Disease Control Act. For individuals who undergo isolation and treatment by the competent authority (including non-Taiwanese nationals without National Health Insurance status), all related expenses will be covered by the budget allocated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Centers for Disease Control. The procedures for expense reporting and payment will be handled in accordance with the "Operational Guidelines for Payment of Medical Services for Statutorily Notifiable Infectious Diseases by the Ministry of Health and Welfare." Therefore, the aforementioned notice will cease to apply from May 1 of this year. |
