Prospectus for the "2024 Taiwan Ocean International Youth Forum" organized by the Ocean Affairs Council and the American Institute in Taiwan Kaohsiung Branch (AIT/K).

Description:  
I. In response to the "United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development," and to encourage young students to participate in ocean conservation, care about ocean issues, and utilize ocean science to overcome ocean crises and challenges, while also promoting international exchange and interaction, our association is collaborating with the American Institute in Taiwan, Kaohsiung Branch (AIT/K) to organize the "2024 Taiwan Ocean International Youth Forum." This initiative aims to deepen international ocean education and foster the development of ocean science research.
II. This event invites registered teams to propose action plans for resolving crises using ocean science. These action plans can integrate innovative ocean science thinking, field investigations, ecological conservation, net-zero carbon emissions, creative marketing, cultural preservation and maintenance, and other approaches to stimulate civic awareness, participation, and local regeneration among residents, thereby mobilizing collective action. This event welcomes currently enrolled students and members of the public aged 12 to 40. Teams should consist of 2 to 8 members and can be formed with mixed ages and cross-school participation. Participating teams are required to present and answer questions in English. The top three winning teams in each group will receive prize money ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$30,000. Additionally, a special award will be selected, with prize money ranging from NT$50,000 to NT$100,000 provided by our association.
III. Registered teams are requested to complete the registration form (URL: https://reurl.cc/7MWmAl) by Friday, March 1, 2024, at 23:59, and send the URL of their proposal documentation directly to oceanchallenge01@gmail.com.
