"113 Carbon Sink Capacity Building Workshop (Northern Session)" Event Brochure

Description:  
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Zi (6) No. 1132701336 dated March 28, 113.
II. In response to climate change and to align with the global net-zero emission goals, the Ministry of Education, through the carbon sequestration calculation function of the "Campus Tree Information Platform," is assessing the carbon sequestration status of trees within campuses. This aims to enhance teachers' and students' understanding of the role of green plants in energy saving and carbon reduction, and to promote the concept of loving trees, hence the organization of the aforementioned activity.
III. The details of this activity are as follows:
(1) Participants: Environmental education teachers, campus tree maintenance technicians, planting personnel, or any interested school staff.
(2) Time: April 17, 113 (Wednesday), 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. Registration starts at 12:00 PM (lunch will be provided for in-person participants). The workshop officially begins at 1:00 PM.
(3) Location: 4th Floor Conference Room, Taiwan Forestry Research Institute (No. 53, Nanhai Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City). The event will be held in a hybrid format, both online and in-person. Online meeting link: https://meet.google.com/tfw-nzks-fsv
(4) Registration Method: Online registration is required from now until April 12, 113 (Friday) at 5:00 PM. The in-person limit is 50 participants, and the online limit is 100 participants. Multiple people from the same school can register. If the total number of in-person registrations exceeds the limit, the organizer will select participants based on the principle of maximizing the number of participating schools and the order of registration. (5) Personnel attending this event will be granted official leave (or business leave) by their respective schools according to their responsibilities.
IV. Public servants, teachers, and environmental education personnel who participate in the entire workshop will receive 2 hours of environmental education credits (including extended hours), teacher training hours, or lifelong learning hours for public servants. If you require these credits, please indicate your need on the registration form and sign in/out at the event venue or during the online meeting.

VI. This carbon sequestration enhancement workshop, part of the aforementioned plan, is scheduled to hold 6 sessions this year. This is the 3rd session. Information on subsequent sessions will be announced separately.
