Academic Affairs Office Announcement

The Ministry of Education is organizing the "7th School Environmental Education Practical Competition" guidelines.

Description:  
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1132702313, Taijiaozi (6) dated June 11, 113.
II. In order to implement the National Environmental Education Framework and the integration of environmental education into the curriculum guidelines for twelve-year basic education, promote school environmental actions, and achieve the goal of net-zero green living, the aforementioned competition is organized.
III. The main points of the aforementioned competition are as follows:
(1) Participants: Elementary school group (students in grades 4-6), Junior high school group (students in grades 7-9).
(2) Practical competition format: Using the five major learning themes under environmental education, namely "Environmental Ethics, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Disaster Prevention and Response, and Sustainable Use of Energy and Resources," as the main direction for competition projects. The aim is to seek solutions to environmental problems and demonstrate practical applications and promotion through environmental actions or project outputs.
(3) Review method and awards: The Ministry of Education will form a review committee for selection, divided into preliminary and final review stages. Both the elementary and junior high school groups will select 20 teams to enter the final review as a general principle. The top 3 in each group (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes), as well as several honorable mentions, excellence awards, and teacher cultivation awards, will be selected.
(4) This year, the Resource Recycling Agency of the Environmental Protection Administration will also sponsor the "Resource Recycling Special Award." Two winners will be selected from each of the elementary and junior high school groups to encourage the practice of the concept of zero waste in resource recycling.
(5) Schedule: The preliminary review registration and submission period is from October 14 to November 14, 113, and will be conducted through written review. The final review is expected to be held in March 114, through on-site exhibition.
