Teachers and students traveling abroad should check the website of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to see if the destination is a dengue fever endemic area. Take personal protective measures against mosquitoes (e.g., wear light-colored long-sleeved clothing and pants, and apply mosquito repellent approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare or the Environmental Protection Administration to exposed skin). After returning to Taiwan, monitor your health for 14 days. If you develop symptoms suggestive of dengue fever (such as fever, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, etc.), seek medical attention immediately and inform your doctor about your travel history.
