Subject: Forwarding the key points of the "16th National Legal Database Competition" jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice. We request that teachers and students from junior high and senior high schools in this city actively participate. Please acknowledge.
Explanation:
I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Zi No. 1130061953A dated June 7, 113.
II. To promote the effective use of the National Legal Database as a platform for legal education in all junior high schools, senior high schools, and five-year junior colleges nationwide, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education have jointly organized the National Legal Database Competition annually since 97. The aim of this event is to implement legal education from the grassroots level, assist teachers and students in using the National Legal Database for legal education, and achieve comprehensive promotion of legal education.
III. The aforementioned competition is summarized as follows:
(I) National Legal Database Legal Knowledge King Online Challenge Competition:
1. Target Audience: Students in grades 1 to 3 of junior high schools, senior high schools, and five-year junior colleges nationwide. The competition is divided into "Junior High School Group" and "Senior High School/Vocational School Group (including students in grades 1 to 3 of five-year junior colleges)."
2. Competition Format: Each group will consist of two stages: an online preliminary round and an on-site final.
3. Question Type: Questions will be based on common legal scenarios in daily life, and the online challenge will be in a multiple-choice format.
4. Online Preliminary Round: From August 16, 113, to October 25, 113.
5. Prizes: The top 5 students in the on-site finals of each group will be awarded as Legal Knowledge Kings. Additionally, there will be "School Promotion Effectiveness Awards" and "County/City Government Education Bureau (Office) Promotion Effectiveness Awards" to recognize schools and education bureaus (offices) with outstanding promotion efforts.
(II) National Legal Database Creative Teaching Competition:
1. Target Audience: Current teachers (including part-time teachers, substitute teachers, intern teachers, and school officers) in junior high schools, senior high schools, and five-year junior colleges nationwide. The competition is divided into "Junior High School Group" and "Senior High School/Vocational School Group (including five-year junior colleges)."
2. Competition Format: There are no specific themes for lesson plan design. Teachers are encouraged to use their creativity to integrate the National Legal Database into legal education and design lesson plans based on major legal education topics.
3. Lesson Plan Submission: From August 16, 113, to October 8, 113.
4. Prizes: The top 3 entries and several honorable mentions in each group will be awarded as winning lesson plans. There will also be a "Recommended School Award" to encourage schools that recommend lesson plans.
IV. Other important notes are as follows:
(I) Please have each school include this competition in its academic calendar and encourage teachers and students to actively participate in the competition starting August 16, 113, by visiting the "16th National Legal Database Competition Website" (Submission Website: https://compete.law.moj.gov.tw).
(II) Please have each school fill in the contact information for the school's activity liaison online by June 30, 113 (Submission Website: https://www.moj.gov.tw/2818/119811/) to facilitate subsequent activity promotion and competition contact.
(III) To ensure students can successfully complete the online challenge, please have schools add the "16th National Legal Database Competition Website" (https://compete.law.moj.gov.tw) to their school's network "whitelist" during the registration and competition period (August to December 113). This is to prevent the network management system from mistakenly identifying simultaneous large-scale access by students from various schools to the competition website as malicious network behavior and blocking network connections, thereby affecting students' right to participate.
(IV) Please encourage teachers to submit lesson plans and lead teams to participate by integrating the competition into the curriculum through "issue integration." Additionally, please strengthen promotion of this event through relevant publicity channels to increase the number of lesson plan submissions.
(V) Please use opportunities such as school affairs meetings, teacher training sessions, and student class/weekly meetings to strengthen the promotion of the competition's key points, and encourage teachers to submit lesson plans and lead teams to participate.
V. Attached are the Ministry of Education's letter, the "Key Points of the 16th National Legal Database Legal Knowledge King Online Challenge Competition," and the "Key Points of the 16th National Legal Database Creative Teaching Competition," each in one copy.
