| I. | Our university is undertaking the "2024 Shallow Mountain Area Environmental Conservation Partnership and Community Empowerment Project" (hereinafter referred to as "this project") commissioned by the National Parks Administration, Ministry of the Interior, National Nature Park Administration. The project aims to promote the partnership and community empowerment of Matou Mountain, and to promote and publicize the cultural and ecological characteristics of the Matou Mountain area. |
| II. | To increase public awareness of Matou Mountain and deepen citizens' awareness and value of maintaining the biodiversity of the Matou Mountain area, this project is organizing the "Matou Mountain Return to the Wild Cultural and Creative Totem Design Competition" (hereinafter referred to as "this event"). |
| III. | This project invites young students from all levels of schools nationwide and community residents to participate. The design theme is the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable community development in the Matou Mountain area (the spirit of Matou Mountain Return to the Wild), creating designs that combine cultural and creative products with totems. |
| IV. | Information about this event is as follows: |
| (1) | Eligibility: Students from all levels of schools nationwide and the general public. |
| (2) | Participants can enter as individuals or groups (maximum of 3 people per group). If participants are students, they may be accompanied by one supervising teacher. |
| (3) | Submitted entries must include totem designs and cultural and creative products incorporating the totems. Participants must provide design drafts and a written description of the product design. |
| (4) | Important event dates: |
| 1. | Registration: From now until August 20, 2024 (Tuesday) at 5:00 PM. |
| 2. | Award Announcement: The list of winners will be announced on the project's Facebook fan page on September 20, 2024 (Friday) (tentative). |
| 3. | Awards Ceremony: Winners will be recognized and awarded at the project's results presentation on October 27, 2024 (Sunday) (tentative). |
| (5) | Awards description: |
| 1. | First Prize: 1 winner, NT$10,000 in prize money and a certificate. |
| 2. | Second Prize: 1 winner, NT$6,000 in prize money and a certificate. |
| 3. | Third Prize: 1 winner, NT$3,000 in prize money and a certificate. |
| 4. | Honorable Mention: 3 winners, a Matou Mountain Spirit EasyCard and a certificate. |
