National Taiwan Ocean University offers an online MOOC course on "Offshore Wind Foundation Design," which is recognized for 8 hours of training on both the "Environmental Education Lifelong Learning Network" and the "National Professional Development Program for Teachers".

Description:  
I. In accordance with the National Taiwan Ocean University's letter No. 1130027935 dated November 12, 2024.
II. To promote green energy development and respond to the global energy transition trend, the university has launched an online course on "Offshore Wind Turbine Foundation Design." The aim is to enhance participants' understanding of offshore wind power fundamentals and support the promotion of environmental sustainability and green energy education.
III. Course Information:
(1) Instructors: Professor Annie Kuo from National Taiwan University and Professor Pai-Chen Guan from National Taiwan Ocean University.
(2) Course Content: The course covers offshore wind turbine foundation theory, seabed soil characteristics, fixed and floating foundation design, as well as geotechnical and structural issues related to offshore wind turbines.
(3) The course is completely free and open to all participants.

(5) How to Attend: Access the "MOOCs in Education (eduMOOCs+)" platform to enroll. For login, please select the option "Use Education Cloud Account or County/City Account."
IV. Method of Issuing Study Hours:
(1) "National In-service Teacher Training Information Network": Participants who meet the course passing standard (60 points) will have their study hours automatically cross-checked and issued on the "National In-service Teacher Training Information Network" via the "MOOCs in Education (eduMOOCs+)" platform.
(2) "Environmental Education Lifelong Learning Network": Participants who meet the course passing standard (60 points) will have their study hours assisted by the university in being logged onto the "Environmental Education Lifelong Learning Network." Those who require study hours to be recorded should fill out the "Environmental Study Hours Application Form" (online form URL: https://user86201.pse.is/241111OWT).
V. To enhance learning effectiveness, this course provides a 3D paper model teaching tool for wind turbines developed by the university. Upon enrolling in the course and completing the shipping form (application URL: https://user86201.pse.is/3DOWT), you will receive one limited-edition 3D paper model of a wind turbine. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
