| Description: |
| I. | In accordance with the letter from Roger Vision Co., Ltd. dated February 1, 114 (Republic of China calendar), Roger Education No. 1140000001. |
| II. | The reasons for the project are as follows: |
| (1) | Health is a basic condition for survival, especially medical care and emergency rescue, which are related to the continuation of life. However, reality shows that the resource gap between rural and urban areas is 2-5 times. The average waiting time for ambulances nationwide from departure to arrival at the scene is 6.78 minutes, but in rural areas, it takes 1 hour, leading to the risk of worsening injuries during the waiting period, causing rural areas to suffer from survival crises for a long time. |
| (2) | To enhance the safety of campuses and local residents, the team has restructured teaching methods by transforming first-aid education based on life experiences. Through knowledge translation, simulated medicine, and reflective design in the education field, a new learning model has been created. Local needs are incorporated to provide practical first-aid teaching, enabling individuals to protect themselves and others. |
| (3) | Since the promotion of this project on May 26, 113 (Republic of China calendar), we have provided first-aid education activities at 2 gathering places, 2 churches, 6 campuses, and 3 communities. To give back to society and advocate for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (ESG) and Development Goals (SDGs), the "free" service project for rural areas will continue in 114 (Republic of China calendar). |
| III. | The main objective of the project is to cultivate local self-rescue and life-saving capabilities through first-aid education and training, establish an operational model that meets local needs, eliminate the lack of emergency medical resources in rural areas, and reduce the consumption of emergency medical services through empowerment, thereby achieving a positive feedback loop for the ambulance system. |
| IV. | The target audience includes all levels of campuses in "underserved areas by the Ministry of Health and Welfare," "medical resource-deficient areas by the National Health Insurance Administration," and "areas with insufficient emergency medical resources." "Free applications" are welcome. |
| V. | The teaching service content includes the most urgent skills such as CPR and trauma first aid (pressure bandaging, tourniquets, fracture immobilization). It also provides guidance on how to use everyday items to perform alternative first aid without medical equipment. Practice scenarios are designed based on the environment of each school (as attached). |
| VI. | Applications can be submitted starting now through the following channel: Submit a form on the "Roger's EMS Vision" website. Path: First Aid Education / Rural Service Train (https://www.rogerems.com/). |
