| Description: |
| I. | The "Climate Change Elementary and Junior High School Painting Competition" hosted by our association has been held for 14 sessions, with a cumulative participation of 47 countries and 71,658 students. This year (the 15th session) is in response to SDG 14 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), "Life Below Water," with the theme "Hello Ocean! Let's Create Blue Miracles Together." We aim to engage in conservation and sustainable practices, spreading the three major ocean literacies of familiarity with the ocean, knowledge of the ocean, and love for the ocean among global ocean citizens. Whether through artistic creation, environmental education, or advocacy, we hope to combine Taiwan's marine characteristics with global sustainability goals, extending the "Hello Ocean" energy to every blue ocean! Let teachers and students learn about basic marine ecosystems, the habitats and behaviors of marine flora and fauna, understand ocean acidification, warming, and sea-level rise, and reflect on how to solve issues such as marine pollution and overfishing for sustainable resources. |
| II. | Registration Period: From Saturday, March 1, 2025, to Monday, June 2, 2025. To encourage participation from teachers and students, award-winning teachers and students will receive letters of appreciation and certificates, respectively. Winning entries will have the opportunity to be exhibited at "Taipei MRT Art Gallery," "Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1," "Kaohsiung Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Zuoying Store," and "National Museum of Marine Science and Technology." For more competition information, please visit the event website (https://painting.taise.org.tw). |
| III. | If teachers integrate this activity into their environmental education courses, they can apply to offer courses on the Environmental Protection Administration's Lifelong Learning Network (https://elearn.moenv.gov.tw/) and log the actual learning hours of teachers and students after the course to obtain environmental education hours. We kindly encourage your affiliated personnel to actively participate. |
