Description:

1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1080013226 dated February 12, 2019.

2. Since 2005, the association has continuously organized essay competitions for primary and secondary schools to encourage them to strengthen language education, enhance students' reading interest and writing skills, and cultivate their character and service qualities. This competition is a public welfare cultural and educational activity. Please encourage your students to participate actively.

3. The aforementioned competition (details in the plan) is briefly described as follows:

(1) Eligibility and Grouping:

1. Eligibility: Currently enrolled students in public and private senior high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools (excluding students in the first and second grades of elementary school, vocational schools, continuing education schools, and the first three years of five-year junior colleges).

2. Grouping:

(1) Elementary School Middle Grades Group (3rd and 4th graders).

(2) Elementary School Upper Grades Group (5th and 6th graders).

(3) Junior High School Group (7th, 8th, and 9th graders).

(4) Senior High School Group (1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders).

(2) Schedule:

1. Preliminary Round: Schools will conduct their own preliminary selections.

2. Semi-finals:

(1) Registration Date: From February 20, 2019, to March 28, 2019. Online registration will be conducted by schools (individual registration is not accepted). Each participating school should designate one teacher to be responsible for the online registration process on the event website (http://write.saylingwen.org.tw) according to the instructions.

(2) Results Announcement: The list of selected participants will be announced on the event website on April 17, 2019. Participating schools should check the results online.

3. Finals: Please refer to the plan for details.
