Academic Affairs Office Announcement

Regarding the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration's subsidy to Wenhua Elementary School in our city for establishing a transition program (bilingual education class), please be informed of the revised enrollment application plan.

Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1080005894 dated January 31, 2019.
2. This case is to implement the government's policy of attracting and retaining foreign talents to work and live in Taiwan, assisting the children of these foreign talents to adapt to the local language and education during their short-term stay in Taiwan, and to smoothly transition to their original courses in subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, so as to facilitate their continued learning after returning to their home countries.
3. The summary of the plan for applying to join classes is as follows:
(1) Eligibility: Students residing in Taoyuan City who meet the following conditions will be given priority for admission.
1. Children of foreign professionals who come to Taiwan in accordance with the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals, excluding full-time foreign language teachers in short-term cram schools registered in accordance with the Compulsory Education Act.
2. Students who are children of outstanding overseas science and technology talents coming to Taiwan to study, in accordance with the Regulations for Students Who Are Children of Overseas Outstanding Science and Technology Talents Coming to Taiwan to Study.
(2) Application Method and Procedure:
1. Applicants should fill out the application form (as attached) and submit the application with the required documents.
2. Preliminary review may be conducted by the service management unit, which will then compile a list of qualified individuals and their documents to apply for secondary review at Wenhua Elementary School in this city.
(3) Teaching Methods:
1. General subjects: Taught by resource teachers in English. Students will be grouped according to their actual academic ability for differentiated instruction.
2. Other subjects: Students will return to their original classes to participate in class learning activities.
4. Attached is one copy of the revised plan for applying to join classes.
