Attached is the "Ministry of Education National and Preschool Education Administration Teaching Visiting Teacher Program" for your school and teachers to actively register. Please be informed.

Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter No. 1080012862 dated February 13, 2019.
2. To enhance teaching exchange and experience sharing between public elementary and junior high schools in general and remote areas (hereinafter referred to as "remote schools"), the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has specifically established the aforementioned plan to encourage outstanding formal teachers from general area schools to engage in teaching visits to remote schools, in order to improve the inheritance of teaching experience and educational innovation in remote schools.
3. The details of the aforementioned plan are summarized as follows (for further details, please refer to the attachment):
(1) Project Period: August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
(2) Eligibility:
1. Host Schools: Priority will be given to public elementary and junior high schools in remote areas announced by the Ministry of Education. Schools with special needs may also apply.
2. Visiting Teachers: Formal teachers from general area schools with at least 6 years of teaching experience, or retired teachers from public elementary and junior high schools, who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
(1) Have won awards in curriculum and teaching related selections at the national, local government, or private organization level, or have demonstrated outstanding performance in promoting curriculum and teaching related work.
(2) Have served for more than two years as a member of the central curriculum and teaching guidance advisory teacher team or the local elementary education guidance group.
(3) Have obtained qualifications as a teaching mentor and have actually mentored two or more teachers.
(4) Possess educational philosophy and enthusiasm, and have been recommended by the local government (specific teaching achievements must be provided).
(3) Awards and Subsidies:
1. Visiting Teachers: Transportation expenses will be subsidized. Those who serve continuously for two academic years and are selected for outstanding performance may be subsidized for overseas school visits.
2. Original Schools of Visiting Teachers: Subsidies will be provided for the cost of hiring substitute teachers and for curriculum and teaching development expenses.
3. Host Schools: Subsidies will be provided for curriculum and teaching development expenses and for accommodation expenses of visiting teachers.
4. Application Timeline for this Case:
(1) Host Schools: From now until March 3, 2019.
(2) Visiting Teachers: From now until March 15, 2019.
5. The Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has selected the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism to manage the aforementioned plan.
