Description:
1. This center was founded in 1951 and is a professional institution for foreign language teaching and testing in Taiwan. In addition to developing and managing language courses and testing services, it is also dedicated to promoting professional exchange activities in domestic language education.
2. Associate Professor Shan-Wei Chang currently teaches in the Department of Mathematics and the Center for Teacher Education at National Central University. He will start from the achievements of Lewis Carroll, a 19th-century British Oxford University mathematics lecturer who spanned literature, mathematics, and photography, to lead the audience in appreciating the two Alice in Wonderland stories he created. These two works are not only adventure fairy tales that appeal to imagination, curiosity, and play, but also adult fables rich in logical puzzles, wit, poetic thought, and philosophy. For over a hundred years, their rich content has provided readers with various cross-disciplinary reading possibilities and has also served as an example for educators on how thinking patterns from different fields can intersect and integrate through clever language and engaging stories.
3. This workshop will be held on April 22, 108 (Monday) from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the 6th floor, Xingyuan Building, No. 97, Section 1, Roosevelt Road, Taipei City (near Exit 3 of MRT Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station).
