Description:
1. This center was founded in 1951 and is a professional institution for foreign language teaching and testing in Taiwan. In addition to developing and managing language courses and testing services, it is also dedicated to promoting professional exchange activities in domestic language education.
2. Intercultural competence, critical thinking, and language communication skills are three key competencies in a globalized society. Foreign language educators are increasingly viewing the cultivation of these abilities in learners as an important teaching task. When designing relevant teaching activities, the first challenge for educators is to find teaching materials that are suitable in terms of language difficulty and deep enough in content to stimulate learners' thinking about intercultural issues. The second challenge is to possess teaching techniques that can guide learners' thinking processes.
3. This workshop specially invites Associate Professor Chen Cai-hong to share her experience in designing relevant teaching activities using online video materials. Taking the production process of the intercultural communication online course at the Foreign Language Center of National Chengchi University as an example, she will explain how a teaching team can collaborate to produce teaching materials. Finally, she will share the current usage and effectiveness of this digital teaching material.
4. This workshop will be held on May 27, 108 (Monday), from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, at the 6th floor of the Xingyuan Building, No. 97, Section 1, Roosevelt Road, Taipei City (near Exit 3 of MRT Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station).
