Regarding the case of Longtan Elementary School organizing this city's "108th Year National Elementary and Junior High School Local Education Overall Promotion Plan - Enhancing Teacher Hakka Language Proficiency Certification Workshop Plan", please encourage teachers to actively register and participate. Description:
I. In accordance with the Bureau's letter of June 6, 108, No. 1080048612, and Longtan Elementary School's letter of June 3, 108, No. 1080003798.
II. The aforementioned workshop will be held for 3 days. Key information is summarized below (please refer to the attached workshop plan for details):
(I) Workshop time: July 1 to 3, 108 (Monday to Wednesday).
(II) Workshop location: Audiovisual Room, 4th Floor, Zhizhen Building, Longtan Elementary School, Longtan District, Taoyuan City.
(III) Target audience: In-service teachers of elementary and junior high schools in Taoyuan City, substitute teachers, and teachers of public kindergartens (including childcare service personnel).
(IV) Number of participants: 60 people.
(V) Registration method: Please register through the Taoyuan City Teacher Professional Development Workshop System (Longtan Elementary School) before June 21, 108.
III. According to Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Ministry of Education's "Measures for Improving the Professional Competence of In-service Teachers of Native Languages in Elementary and Junior High Schools," it is stated that "Starting from the 107 academic year, in-service teachers teaching native languages in schools should, in principle, pass the intermediate-high level or above certification of native language proficiency." And according to Article 8: "When schools recruit teachers, they should prioritize the employment of qualified teachers who have passed the intermediate-high level or above certification of native language proficiency and arrange for them to teach native language courses." In accordance with the above regulations, schools should prioritize the employment of teachers who have passed the intermediate-high level or above certification in Taiwanese Hokkien and Hakka languages to teach native languages. Therefore, please encourage teachers to participate in the aforementioned workshop and take the relevant language certification exams to improve the qualification rate of your school's native language teaching staff, so as to protect students' right to education.
IV. Participants in the certification workshop may be granted official leave (business trip) registration to attend. Please handle it in accordance with your school's attendance management regulations and your responsibilities.
V. Attached is one copy of the "Taoyuan City 108 Academic Year Promotion of Native Education in Elementary and Junior High Schools to Enhance Teacher Hakka Language Proficiency Certification Workshop Plan."
