Description:
1. In accordance with the letter Tai Jiao Zi (6) Zi No. 1090045660 dated April 1, 2020, which forwarded the letter Huan Shu Zong Zi No. 1090022550 dated March 25, 2020, from the Environmental Protection Administration.
2. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic prevention needs and to enhance the knowledge and skills of environmental educators in Taiwan, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, based on the foundation of Taiwan-U.S. environmental education cooperation, shared the aforementioned free courses (all-English online courses) via email on March 24, 2020.
3. The aforementioned courses were developed in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and are provided for use by educators in Taiwan. They are available from March 23, 2020, until June 2020. Relevant information is as follows:
(1) Course highlights: Climate change and biodiversity/wildlife, with topics including: Earth's climate system, climate and weather, phenology, extreme weather, biodiversity, soil, oceans, etc.
(2) Upon completion of the courses, educators will receive free resources from Project WET (www.projectwet.org), Project WILD (https://www.fishwildlife.org/projectwild), and NWF, which can be used to (virtually) celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
(3) These resources are provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for sharing with educators in Taiwan. Users are requested to register first via the link provided by the U.S. side (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeA3MieerQIq7RYyNEVAJOAbwFxHkcpT1FTt3k7QCd-_RS6_w/viewform). The course link will be sent to registered users via email by Eco-SchoolUSA.
