Renhe Elementary School's "2020 Technology-Assisted Autonomous Learning Project - Digital Learning Workshop (II)" Training

Description:
1. In accordance with the "2020 Digital Learning Teacher Empowerment Workshop Project" letter dated March 24, 2020, No. 1090024519 from the Taoyuan City Bureau of Education.
2. The main learning platform for this event is "Yuan Cai Net". The training will be conducted by instructors certified by the project team commissioned by the Ministry of Education (Ms. Jiang Zhenyi from Renhe Elementary School). Due to the epidemic, the training will be conducted via online live broadcast.
3. Relevant information is summarized as follows:
(1) Time: April 15, 2020 (Wednesday), 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Check-in and testing will begin at 12:50 PM).
(2) Location: Cloud conference room. Please click on the announcement at the top of the Renhe Elementary School homepage.
(3) Platforms: Yuan Cai Net and Google Hangouts Meet.
4. Please encourage teachers from your school to participate actively. With the principle of self-management of class affairs, schools should grant official leave (or business leave) for attendees.
5. Registration: Register from now until April 15th on the Taoyuan City Education Development Resources Portal. Search for the event title: "Digital Learning Workshop (II)". The organizing unit is "Renhe Elementary School".

Regarding the adjustment of online meeting software for the "Technology-Assisted Autonomous Learning Project Symposium and City-wide Teaching Observation Conference (Online Synchronous Mode)", please refer to the details below.

Description:
1. This is a continuation of the letter dated April 1, 2020, No. 1090029080 from the Taoyuan City Bureau of Education.
2. The "Technology-Assisted Autonomous Learning Project Symposium and City-wide Teaching Observation Conference (Online Synchronous Mode)" will be held on April 15, 2020 (Wednesday) from 8:20 AM to 12:00 PM (Check-in and testing will begin at 8:00 AM).
3. The original online meeting software, "Zoom", has been discontinued due to related factors. It has now been replaced with other live broadcast software. On April 15, 2020, please click on the meeting room link announced on the city's Technology-Assisted Autonomous Learning website (https://sites.google.com/mail.rhps.tyc.edu.tw/tech-study/ or short URL https://reurl.cc/8Gp8MM ), or access it through the announcement on the homepage of Renhe Elementary School, Taoyuan City.

The "Connectivity Principles of the Taiwan Academic Network" are no longer applicable as of today.

1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter dated April 8, 2020, No. 1090046344.
2. The "Key Points for Taiwan Academic Network Backbone Network Interconnection and Interworking" (https://tinyurl.com/ubq83hv) was promulgated by the Ministry of Education on January 16, 2020, with Order No. 1080176151B. Therefore, the aforementioned connectivity principles are no longer applicable.


Precautions for Using Video Conferencing Software in Response to the COVID-19 (Wuhan Pneumonia) Epidemic

1. In accordance with the Executive Yuan Secretary-General's letter dated April 7, 2020, No. 1090169976, and the Ministry of Education's letter dated April 6, 2020, No. 1090050509.
2. If your school uses information and communication systems for business needs, products with information security concerns, such as ZOOM, should not be used. Domestic products and items listed in the government procurement framework should be prioritized.
3. According to the Ministry of Education's letter dated April 6, 2020, No. 1090050509, it is recommended to consider using software such as Cisco WebEx, Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts Meet, CyberLink U Meeting, and the open-source Jitsi Meet for video conferencing or online teaching.
4. Government agencies and specific non-government agencies shall implement relevant information security protection measures in accordance with the "Cybersecurity Management Act" and other relevant regulations for the transmission of official information.


Fang Shu Vocational High School of Commerce and Industry is organizing a 5G Smart Living Experience Activity to promote the Ministry of Education's 108 Curriculum Guidelines for Information Technology and to enhance students' understanding of innovative industry development.

1. In accordance with the "Taoyuan Area 3 Adaptive Learning Community Education Resource Equalization Implementation Plan" for the 108 academic year.
2. To help junior high school students understand the connection between 5G smart living and the curriculum, an experience course has been planned. The course will be explained through group experiences, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of emerging technologies and the school's featured courses.
3. Tour Period: May 18th to June 19th. Each session will be 4 hours long (1 hour for preparation, 3 hours for experience/30 people per group).

5. Please assist with relevant epidemic prevention measures and venue arrangements. Our school will provide masks and disinfection supplies for participating students. Adjustment of No-Fly Zones for Remote-Controlled Drones (Aircraft) in City Schools

1. This is a continuation of the letter dated March 13, 2020, No. 1090060481 from the City Government's Department of Transportation.
2. To prevent external individuals from flying drones at school sites and causing school safety issues, the Bureau has designated areas within a 200-meter radius centered on each school as no-fly zones. However, considering the special needs of each school, a survey of school needs was conducted according to the letter dated March 20, 2020, and the reported needs have been forwarded to the City Government's Department of Transportation for further processing. This is for your information.
3. To more accurately delineate the no-fly zones for each school, please assist with the following and return the "Remote-Controlled Drone (Aircraft) No-Fly Zone Coordinates and Application Form":
(1) If a no-fly zone is still required, please provide the coordinates based on the "school grounds" to avoid overlapping or inaccurate delineations.
(2) If you wish to open a no-fly zone, please fill in the reason for opening.
4. Please return the scanned and stamped "Remote-Controlled Drone (Aircraft) No-Fly Zone Coordinates and Application Form" via email to Ms. Luo by the end of the workday on April 24, 2020. Schools that do not report by the deadline will be announced in the next announcement by the City Government's Department of Transportation.
5. If you are unsure about the current no-fly or open zones, please check the "Airspace Inquiry" on the Civil Aviation Administration's Remote-Controlled Unmanned Aircraft Information Management System: https://drone.caa.gov.tw/.

Regarding the Civil Aviation Administration's regulations on the use of remote-controlled drones for disaster response, disaster prevention, recovery and reconstruction, or emergency situations other than disasters.

2. Attached are one copy of the "Letter from the Civil Aviation Administration" and one copy of the "Application Documents for Remote-Controlled Drone Emergency Use". School staff interested in reviewing these documents can contact the Information Division.


Regarding the cancellation of the "2020 City Robotics Design Competition for Technological Creativity" in city schools.

Considering the novel coronavirus epidemic and the cancellation of the 2020 WRO World Finals by Canada, the host country, to avoid excessive crowds, this year's competition (2020) is canceled to jointly implement epidemic prevention measures.
