2021 Urban Indigenous Students' Cultural Course Experience Camp - Tribal Culture Learning Camp Series - 2

Subject: Forwarding the "2021 Urban Indigenous Student Cultural Course Experience Camp - Tribal Culture Learning Camp Series - 2" Implementation Plan commissioned by the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the Department), please assist in notifying and recommending students from your school to actively register. Please be informed.
Explanation:  
I. In accordance with the Department's letter No. Tai Jiao Guo Shu Yuan Zi Di 1100150212A dated November 18, 2021.
II. In accordance with Article 29 of the Indigenous Peoples Education Act: "All levels of government shall provide students in pre-school education and the compulsory education stage of twelve-year basic education with opportunities to learn Indigenous languages, history, science, and culture, and may plan Indigenous knowledge courses and cultural learning activities in accordance with the characteristics and resources of the school's region." To encourage students to learn and identify with Indigenous cultures through actual visits to tribal communities, the Department has commissioned the Center for Indigenous Education and Culture Research at National Taichung University of Education to organize the aforementioned plan.
III. The information for the aforementioned plan is as follows:
(1) Event Name: 2021 Urban Indigenous Student Cultural Course Experience Camp.
(2) Event Time: December 11, 2021 (Saturday) to December 12, 2021 (Sunday).
(3) Event Location: Shanmei Village, Chiayi County.
(4) Target Audience: Limited to 18 participants, primarily Indigenous students in junior and senior high schools residing in urban areas. If there are remaining spots, Indigenous students in other educational stages in urban areas and students interested in Indigenous culture will be open for registration.
(5) Registration Method: Two-step registration process, as detailed in the implementation plan. Registration closes at 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
