In-service Teacher Professional Development Second Major Credit Program for Junior High School Native Language (Hakka, Indigenous Languages (Amis))

Subject: To inform you about the Ministry of Education's 111th academic year "In-service Second Specialization Credit Program for Secondary School Native Language Teachers (Hakka, Indigenous Languages - Amis)" organized by the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Languages, National Tsing Hua University. Please be informed.
Explanation:  
I. In accordance with the letter from the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Languages, National Tsing Hua University, dated May 19, 111 (2022), Ref. No. 1119003470.
II. Information regarding the aforementioned credit program is as follows:
(1) Application Deadline: From 9:00 AM on June 10, 110 (2021) to 5:00 PM on June 24, 110 (2021) (Late submissions to the online application system will not be accepted; the postmark date will be used as proof for submitted review materials).
(2) Programs Offered: Hakka, Indigenous Languages (Amis). 30 students will be admitted for each language.
(3) Eligibility:
1. Full-time in-service teachers currently employed in secondary schools, receiving monthly salaries, legally holding relevant secondary school teacher certificates, and recommended by the respective municipal or county/city governments.
2. After admitting recommended full-time in-service teachers from counties, cities, and the Ministry of Education, if there are remaining spots, priority will be given to self-recommended full-time in-service teachers. Subsequently, priority will be given to substitute, temporary, or part-time in-service teachers in secondary schools who hold a valid secondary school teacher certificate and have a contract of three months or more (hereinafter referred to as substitute/temporary teachers). Upon completion of the program, teacher certificates will be issued according to regulations. The number of substitute/temporary teachers admitted shall not exceed 20% of the total enrollment for the class. The order of admission for self-recommended applicants is as follows:
(1) Full-time in-service teachers.
(2) Substitute/temporary teachers who have passed the intermediate-high level or above language proficiency certification for the subject they wish to enroll in, with priority given to those with more years of teaching experience.
(3) Substitute/temporary teachers who have passed the intermediate level or above language proficiency certification for the subject they wish to enroll in, with priority given to those with more years of teaching experience.
(4) If the conditions are the same for the above order, admission will be based on the following sequence:
A. The postmark date of the submitted documents. Please send all documents via registered express mail.
B. The order of submission in the online application system.
(4) Enrollment Numbers: 22 for Hakka, 25 for Amis. If the number of admitted students (including recommended teachers) for each class is less than 20, the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Languages reserves the right to cancel the class.
(5) Program Duration: August 111 (2022) to June 113 (2024), for a total of 2 years.
