Subject:Regarding the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's "115th Year Indigenous Cultural Learning Environment Construction" project call for proposals, please have your school actively apply. Please acknowledge receipt.
Explanation:
I.In accordance with the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department") official letter dated October 7, 114, Ref. No. TAI-JIAO-GUO-SHU-YUAN-ZI-DI-1145703267.
II.To align with schools' needs in promoting Indigenous education and to complete Indigenous cultural learning spaces, the Department has planned the aforementioned project. Based on curriculum development, it aims to construct Indigenous cultural learning environments, integrating curriculum and learning spaces to create a multiplier effect in learning, stimulating students' motivation and self-cultural identity.
III.The content of this project should be based on Indigenous education curricula or lesson plans, creating Indigenous cultural learning environments that meet teaching needs and are sustainable. This will provide teaching spaces that align with the school's Indigenous cultural curriculum, extending curriculum delivery while effectively utilizing campus space.
IV.To ensure effective allocation of subsidy resources, schools that receive subsidies under this project are not eligible to reapply for three years from the subsidy year. However, schools with urgent needs may submit a special application to the Bureau for evaluation by the Department, which may then approve funding.
V.Project subsidy amount: The maximum approved amount for key Indigenous schools is NT$3 million, with a maximum subsidy rate of 80%. The maximum approved amount for non-key Indigenous schools is NT$2 million, with a maximum subsidy rate of 60%.
VI.Notes on applying for the aforementioned project:
(1)Each applying school shall clearly outline its Indigenous education curriculum and teaching plan within the project proposal, specifically addressing the "Flexible Learning Curriculum," and explain its relevance to the proposed learning space facilities. Furthermore, in conjunction with the curriculum guidelines, the accompanying curriculum content should be described, along with specific learning objectives for its implementation. The planned curriculum should be comprehensive and sustainable.
(2)This project prioritizes the "renovation" of existing cultural learning environments. If, after evaluation, there is a clear need for "new construction" of cultural learning environments within the school, the Department will provide subsidies based on the review results. The implementation plan for this project should primarily focus on Indigenous cultural education curricula as the basis for construction, but the use of painted decorations or mosaic tile art is prohibited.
VII.Schools interested in applying should submit their application materials to this Bureau by Friday, November 14, 114. To enhance applicants' understanding of the project's implementation process, the Department plans to hold an online information session in October 114 for the "115th Year Indigenous Cultural Learning Environment Construction" project. This session will explain the key review points and scoring criteria. Detailed meeting information will be announced separately.
VIII.Attached are one copy of the implementation plan and relevant application forms.
