| Explanation: |
| I. | In accordance with the NAER's letter dated October 17, 114, No. 1145505109. |
| II. | To encourage students to engage in self-learning through the Cool English online learning platform (hereinafter referred to as the Cool English platform), utilize the platform's rich resources to improve their English proficiency, and present their personal learning methods and achievements through presentations accompanied by video explanations. Simultaneously, it aims to cultivate students' presentation creation and expression skills, enabling them to effectively organize and share their learning journey. Therefore, the NAER has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to organize the aforementioned competition. |
| III. | Key points of the aforementioned competition are as follows (please refer to the competition guidelines for detailed information): |
| (1) | Eligibility and Grouping: All enrolled students in national and private elementary and junior high schools in Taiwan, as well as Taiwanese students in non-school-based experimental education at the elementary and junior high school level. Participants will be divided into two groups: elementary school and junior high school. The elementary school group is for students in grades 5 and 6, and the junior high school group is for students in grades 7 to 9. Students will compete as individuals and may choose whether to have a teacher's guidance, with a limit of one guiding teacher per student. Each student can submit a maximum of one entry, and a guiding teacher can guide multiple students. |
| (2) | Competition Schedule: |
| 1. | Registration and Submission: From December 19, 114 (Friday) to January 2, 115 (Friday) until 3:00 PM. During the registration and submission period, please upload the presentation file, video file, copyright authorization consent form, personal data collection, processing, and utilization consent form, and guiding teacher statement form to the Google registration form (https://lihi.cc/KiQtm). |
| 2. | Announcement of Winners: February 12, 115 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM. |
| (3) | Competition Theme and Content: There is no fixed theme for this competition. Students are encouraged to use the Cool English platform resources based on their own learning needs to engage in listening, speaking, reading, or writing activities. Students should showcase the Cool English platform resources they used in their presentations, along with their learning methods and strategies during the process, and provide an oral explanation of the presentation by recording a video. |
| (4) | Awards: For both the elementary and junior high school groups, one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and six honorable mentions will be awarded. Students will receive gift cards and certificates, and guiding teachers will receive commendations of 1 to 2 times. |
