Description:
I. In accordance with the letter from the Hakka Affairs Council dated March 12, 2019, reference number 1086100326, and the "Guidelines for the Promotion of Hakka Language Living Schools Subsidy" revised and announced by the Council on March 2, 2018, the following is implemented.
II. Subsidy Principles:
(I) The aforementioned project is divided into a 3-academic-year plan and a 1-academic-year plan, based on the project content and expected benefits proposed by your school. Those proposing a 3-academic-year plan must have continuously implemented the Hakka Language Living School project for at least 3 years and have been recognized as an excellent school in the past 3 years, or have outstanding performance in Hakka-related projects.
(II) Subsidy funds will be disbursed on an academic year basis. The Hakka Affairs Council will review and approve the subsidy amount based on the application plan submitted by each school. The maximum subsidy per academic year will be NT$500,000 in principle, but the 3-academic-year plan may not be limited to NT$500,000.
III. Subsidy Period: The academic year system will be adopted.
(I) 1-academic-year plan: The project period for the 108 academic year runs from August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2020.
(II) 3-academic-year plan: From August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2022 (Academic Years 108 to 110).
IV. Please apply for the aforementioned project on the Hakka Affairs Council's Hakka Language Living School Teaching Information Center System website (http://school.hakka.gov.tw) by April 19, 2019. Download and print the application documents (application form, project proposal, budget table, and declaration) from the website, have them signed by the supervisor, and mail/deliver the hard copies to this bureau for preliminary review. Also, click the "Submit Data" button at the bottom of the webpage to facilitate our compilation.
V. Those who applied for the Hakka Language Living School project in the 107 academic year should log in to the website using their existing account and password. VI. The funds subsidized by this project are limited to activities related to the promotion of Hakka language in daily life. Please use them to strengthen Hakka language teaching, organize Hakka language clubs, and establish Hakka language environments. They shall not be used for purchasing hardware such as machines, equipment, musical instruments, and cultural relics (museums), or non-consumables. In addition, expenses such as labor and health insurance fees, labor retirement contributions, and supplementary insurance fees for Hakka support teachers may be included in the budget of the aforementioned project and disbursed accordingly.
