To inform that the Hakka Affairs Council is organizing the "2019 Hakka Language Proficiency Basic Certification." Registration is open from now until May 31st. Please encourage students, faculty, and staff to sign up. Thank you for your attention.

Description:
I. In accordance with the letter of the Hakka Affairs Bureau of this Government, No. 1080003817, dated April 24, 2019.
II. Since 2018, Hakka language living schools in this city that apply for Hakka living school status must ensure that the total number of participants (number of applicants + number of passers) in the Hakka language certification each academic year reaches 25% or more of the total number of students in each school. Please strengthen encouragement for students, faculty, and staff to actively register for the certification.
III. The summary of the aforementioned certification information is as follows:
(I) Examination dates: One session each on August 31 and September 8, 2019. If a single group registration reaches 40 or more people, flexible group registration certification dates on September 21, 22, 28, and 29 are also available.
(II) Registration method: Online registration is available on the official website of the "2019 Hakka Language Proficiency Certification" (https://hakka.sce.ntnu.edu.tw/hakka).
IV. The Hakka Affairs Bureau of this Government has formulated the "2019 Taoyuan City Government Hakka Affairs Bureau Encouragement for Group Registration for Hakka Proficiency Certification Implementation Plan," which subsidizes group registration fees, transportation, and meal expenses. In accordance with the "Guidelines for Encouraging Public Participation in Hakka Proficiency Certification" of the Bureau, residents registered in this city who pass the beginner-level certification can apply for a reward of NT$1,000. Students who pass the examination can receive a certificate of commendation or a commendation according to the "Taoyuan City Public and Private Senior High Schools and Below Students' Reward Plan for Passing Native Language Proficiency Certification," and students entering senior high schools in this city who pass the beginner-level or above certification in this city will receive 2 bonus points in the comprehensive evaluation for preferential admission.
V. Faculty and staff, in accordance with the "Guidelines for Encouraging Employees of Affiliated Agencies, Schools, and Institutions of this Government to Improve Hakka Proficiency," may take official leave or compensatory leave to participate in the beginner-level Hakka proficiency certification. Those who pass can apply for a NT$1,000 gift certificate and one commendation.
VI. Related reward measures (reward for citizens, gift certificates for employees, and rewards for students) cannot be applied for repeatedly.
VII.
