1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter Tai-Jiao-Zi No. 1080070046, dated May 14, 2019.
2. The aforementioned plan is a work plan organized by the Ministry of Education as part of the Executive Yuan's "Action Plan to Enhance Girls' Rights." The purpose is to respond to the United Nations' designation of October 11th as "International Day of the Girl Child" since 2011, and Taiwan's designation of October 11th as "Taiwanese Girls' Day" in July 2013. In 2019, we still expect teachers to promote the meaning and spirit of this day to students during their teaching. We also encourage students to embody the core concepts of International Day of the Girl Child (empower girls, cultivate girls, invest in girls, gender equality for girls) through the micro-film and photo storytelling competition. This aims to enhance the importance of girls' development in schools and families, strengthen girls' participation in STEM learning, and promote concepts of sports and health, thereby realizing the protection of girls' rights.
3. Furthermore, the eligibility for this activity includes all currently enrolled students in public and private schools at all levels at the time of registration. Each person is limited to one entry. The submission deadline is Friday, August 16, 2019, based on the postmark. Please mail your work via registered mail or deliver it in person to No. 43, Section 4, Keelung Road, Daan District, Taipei City 106 (Office of Student Affairs, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology). Please mark "Ministry of Education 2019 Taiwanese Girls' Day - Micro-film and Photo Storytelling Competition" on the envelope.
