I. To enhance the environmental literacy of students and the public in our city, widely absorb environmental knowledge, and implement environmental education into daily life through engaging, stimulating, and fun competition activities in an entertaining way, the aforementioned activity is specially organized.
II. The details of the aforementioned competition are as follows:
(I) Registration Period: From June 1, 2019, to September 10, 2019. Limited spots available. To protect students' rights, please register as early as possible.
(II) Competition Date: September 21, 2019 (Saturday).
(III) Venue: Yuan Ze University - Yuan Ze Building 7 (No. 135, Far East Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City).
(IV) Eligibility:
1. School Group: Students currently enrolled in elementary, junior high, senior high, or vocational high schools (including the first to third grades of five-year junior colleges) whose school address is located in our city for the 2019 academic year (after August). The registration quotas are as follows:
(1) Elementary School Group: 200 spots.
(2) Junior High School Group: 100 spots.
(3) Senior High (Vocational) School Group: 100 spots.
2. Social Group: ROC nationals aged 18 and above. Each person can only register in one county or city. There are 150 spots, and registration will close once full.
(V) Registration Method: Online registration is available on the official website of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) "2019 Environmental Knowledge Competition" at http://www.epaee.com.tw/. (The official website will open for registration on June 1, 2019).
(VI) Competition Topics:
1. Government environmental policies and current events.
2. Environmental knowledge-related issues.
3. Six designated videos for the 2019 EPA Environmental Knowledge Competition. Please watch them on the "Environmental Education Lifelong Learning Network" competition video section (https://elearn.epa.gov.tw/DigitalLearning/arena.aspx).
(VII) Competition Results: The top 5 participants in each group will represent our city in the national finals on November 16, 2019.
III. As the competition is held on a weekend, schools should grant leave according to the "Teacher Leave Regulations" and other relevant rules, ensuring that it does not affect coursework and that teachers manage their own workload, based on the actual activity time.
