Description:

1. The Pingbei Tsing Hua Indigenous Education Experimental Class originated from Typhoon Morakot. Initiated by Tsing Hua University, in collaboration with the university, it provides scholarships, accommodation, and a learning environment, aiming to cultivate outstanding indigenous individuals with strong natural ecology knowledge and balanced physical and mental development.

2. Eligibility:

(1) Graduating indigenous students from junior high schools in various counties and cities (including current graduates, non-current graduates, those with equivalent academic qualifications, and students from non-school-based experimental education).

(2) If a student has been admitted and reported to another school through any admission channel before the supplementary admission period, and must leave the school district of their original admitted school due to special circumstances, they may apply after providing supporting documents and obtaining written consent from the original school. Those admitted through supplementary admission in violation of regulations will have their admission qualification revoked.

3. Application Method:

(1) Application Period: On-site registration will be accepted from July 11, 2019 (Thursday) to July 17, 2019 (Wednesday), from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Registered mail will also be accepted until July 16, 2019 (Tuesday), postmark date as the criterion. On-site registration will not be available on holidays.

(2) Application Location: On-site registration or registered mail is accepted.

(3) Required Documents: Completed application form (Attachments 1-7), copy of graduation certificate, copy of basic competency test results (to be attached to Attachment 2), and a copy of the household registration transcript.

4. Admission and Ranking Method:

(1) If the number of applicants does not exceed the approved quota for the school's second round of entrance examinations without tests, all applicants will be admitted.

(2) If the number of applicants exceeds the school's approved enrollment quota, a ranking method will be used for admission.

(3) Ranking Method: To be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the program's admission brochure.

5. Admission Announcement:

(1) The list of admitted students and reporting instructions (including confirmation form, item checklist, and mobile device application form) will be announced on the school's website under the latest news section at 10:00 AM on July 18, 2019 (Thursday).

6. Reporting and Enrollment

(1) Reporting Time: July 21, 2019 (Sunday) at 1:00 PM.

(2) Reporting Location: Specialized Classroom 2, Indigenous Program Building, at the school.

(3) Reporting Method: Parents/guardians are requested to accompany the student for reporting and bring items for dormitory living. After filling out and submitting the confirmation form, item checklist, and mobile device application form, students will move into the dormitory on the same day. In the afternoon, there will be related explanations, followed by a welcome party in the evening. Starting the next day, a two-week new student activity period will commence on July 22, including a multi-intelligence camp, freshman orientation, and summer remedial classes.
