Description:

1. In accordance with the letter from National Taiwan Normal University dated July 25, 2019, No. 1081020275.

2. This Math Activity Facilitator training workshop aims to train teachers to lay the groundwork for students' math learning through engaging math activities, thereby increasing their willingness to learn. Elementary school teachers with a teaching certificate, junior high school teachers with a math subject teaching certificate, substitute teachers, and intern teachers are all welcome to participate. Workshop details are as follows:

(1) Number of participants:

1. First Module Math Activity Facilitator Training - Taipei Session (two classes each for elementary lower grades and elementary upper grades, and one class for junior high), with a principle of 28 participants per class, subject to adjustment based on registration numbers.

2. Math Activity Facilitator Training and Foundational Learning Classroom Collaborative Preparation Camp - Taipei Session (two classes each for elementary lower grades and elementary upper grades, and one class for junior high), with a principle of 28 participants per class, subject to adjustment based on registration numbers.

(2) Workshop schedule:

1. First Module Math Activity Facilitator Training - Taipei Session: August 17, 2019 (Saturday) from 9:00 to 16:20.

2. Math Activity Facilitator Training and Foundational Learning Classroom Collaborative Preparation Camp - Taipei Session: August 18, 2019 (Sunday) from 9:00 to 15:30.

(3) Workshop location: Research Building, Gongguan Campus, National Taiwan Normal University.

(4) This event is free of charge and includes lunch. Participants are responsible for their own insurance, accommodation, and transportation fees. Teachers wishing to participate should complete the registration form by 12:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019, at the following website. Late registrations will not be accepted.

3. "Math Activity Facilitator" Certificate:

(1) Math teachers who meet the above qualifications and participate in the "Math Activity Facilitator Training Workshop" held by the Center for the Study of Mathematics Education at National Taiwan Normal University, complete all course content (must attend all foundational module courses for their respective group), obtain certification, and assist in completing the feedback questionnaire will be awarded the "Math Activity Facilitator" certificate for that session and group.

(2) To ensure the quality of the trained Math Activity Facilitators, if a participant does not attend at least 2/3 of the hours for a module, they may continue to audit the workshop courses but will not receive the facilitator certificate.

(3) Only those who have obtained the "Math Activity Facilitator" qualification can apply to organize the "Fun Math Workshop" by the Center for the Study of Mathematics Education at National Taiwan Normal University.

(4) The "Math Activity Facilitator" certificate is valid for three years. Those who organize the "Fun Math Workshop" within the three-year period can apply for a three-year extension of the facilitator's term.

4. Participation Certificate for "Math Activity Facilitator Training and Foundational Learning Classroom Collaborative Preparation Camp" can be used in the future to apply for organizing "Fun Math Camps" and "Foundational Learning Classroom Practice Classes."

(1) Math teachers who meet the above qualifications and participate in the "Math Activity Facilitator Training and Foundational Learning Classroom Collaborative Preparation Camp" held by the Center for the Study of Mathematics Education at National Taiwan Normal University, complete all course content (must attend all classes for their respective group), obtain certification, and assist in completing the feedback questionnaire will be awarded the "Math Activity Facilitator Training and Foundational Learning Classroom Collaborative Preparation Camp" participation certificate for that session and group.
