I. In accordance with the letter of our government, Ref. No. 1080210809, Department of Environmental Protection, dated August 28, 2019.
II. To promote the uniqueness and importance of the Xinwu stone weirs in the world, and to discuss their preservation, maintenance, cultural education, and management, the "2019 Xinwu Stone Weir International Exchange Seminar" was held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the Grand Auditorium of National Central University. Professor Satoru Iwahashi from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Japan, and Professor Bill Jeffery from the University of Guam, USA, along with domestic scholars Professor Ming-Ru Li from National Penghu University of Science and Technology, Professor Chi-Cheng Kuo from Tunghai University, and Associate Professor Chih-Cheng Huang from National Central University, were invited to give keynote speeches and participate in international exchanges.
