II. Objectives

1. Promote the concept of marine conservation and enhance marine education knowledge and skills.

2. Popularize and promote publicity effectiveness, and implement the concept of cherishing the ocean.

3. Extend publicity to students' parents, and expand the scope of marine publicity.

4. Collect student creative works and enrich the education resource sharing platform services.

III. Organizing Units

VI. Activity Methods:

2. Participants: Junior and elementary school students in this city

(Divided into lower elementary, middle elementary, upper elementary, and junior high school groups)分國小低年級組、國小中年級組、國小高年級組、國中學生組)

3. Work Requirements:

(1))Work Type: Poetry.

(2))Title:

1.The title is self-determined, but the theme must conform to the scope of "Marine Culture."

2.The scope of marine culture includes marine history, marine literature, marine art, marine folk beliefs and rituals, generally referring to all human-ocean relationships, social and cultural phenomena and connotations.

3.The creation theme can also refer to the "12-Year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines107Year9Month version" / "Elementary and Junior High School and General Senior High School / Curriculum Integration Handbook."/國民中小學暨普通型高級中等學校/(For the content of "Learning Themes and Substantive Connotations of Marine Education Issues - Marine Culture" excerpted from the Curriculum Integration Handbook, please refer to Attachment 1)(有關摘錄議題融入手冊的「海洋教育議題學習主題與實質內涵-海洋文化」之內容,請詳見附件一)

(3))Number of lines:

1.Elementary School Group:20Lines or less.

2.Junior High School Group:25Lines or less.

(4))To encourage students to embrace, love, and understand the ocean, participants are requested to explain their creative concept for the marine poem. (Limited to500words, and a personal photo of their marine experience).

(5))Each submitted work should include one copy, typed in1copy, in vertical orientation usingWordprogram. The font for the work content should be "KaiTi"12pt, and the title should be marked in "KaiTi"14pt, printed onA4paper.

(6))Each submitted work must include a registration form (use Attachment 2 for elementary and junior high schools), the work content and explanation of the marine poem's creative concept(Attachment 4)附件四)and a copyright usage authorization form(Attachment 5, signed by hand)附件五,親簽).

(7))Participants should accurately fill in their personal information and relevant work details on the registration form. Please keep a copy of all documents for your records. Submissions will not be returned. Unselected works will not be returned by the organizer.

4. Evaluation Criteria:

     Theme Presentation30%, Creative Idea30%, Structure and Framework20%, Professional Knowledge20%

5. Awards:

(1)) Award Prizes: The top three winners and five honorable mentions will be selected and awarded in each group. A certificate of award1and copyright fee will be awarded. The copyright of the winning works belongs to the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau and will be used for various promotional activities.(The judges may adjust the number of winning works in each group based on the number of participants)

Prize Money for Junior and Elementary School Students in Each Group:

First Place:3,000NTD

Second Place:2,000NTD

Third Place:1,200NTD

Honorable Mention:  作:600NTD

VII. Promotion and Application:

(1)) The Taoyuan City Marine Education Resource Center will organize the City's Marine Education Week during109YearJune-December. Selected works will be announced on the Taoyuan City Marine Education Resource Center webpage for teachers and students to learn and use.

(2)) Combine the promotional content of Marine Knowledge Day with comic strip works to design learning worksheets for download and use by schools on the center's webpage.

(3)) Schools are requested to submit summaries of their Marine Education Week achievements.

VIII. Budget Estimate:This project will be funded by the Ministry of Education's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the city government's Marine Education Resource Center maintenance plan or related budgets. The estimate is shown in the attached table.

IX. Expected Benefits

1. Awaken students' conservation awareness and promote the deepening of marine education effectiveness in schools.

2. Make good use of digital learning resources and guide students to implement the concept of marine education.

3. Consolidate promotional resources and enrich marine education teaching materials and learning resources.

X.Awards:For outstanding performance by the staff of the undertaking school, awards will be given in accordance with the "Regulations on Performance Evaluation of Principals of Public Senior High Schools and Below," the "Regulations on Performance Evaluation of Teachers of Public Senior High Schools and Below," and the "Taoyuan City Regulations on Rewards and Punishments for School Staff and Teachers.".

XI. This plan shall be implemented after approval by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau, and amendments shall be handled similarly.

Overall Description

Marine Culture: Appreciate and create marine literature and art, and then appreciate marine-related customs. Analyze the evolution and differences of marine literature and history in Taiwan and other countries. Utilize various writing techniques or genres to create literary works with a marine background. Realize the value, style, and cultural context of various marine arts. Utilize various media to create artistic works with a marine theme. Further analyze the evolution and differences of marine folk beliefs and rituals in Taiwan and other countries. In the elementary school learning stage, the focus is on reading marine-related stories and folk customs, and creating marine-related art. In the junior high school learning stage, the focus is on further understanding marine culture, art, and folk beliefs. In the senior high school learning stage, the focus is on creating literary works of various marine genres, art, and comparing the similarities and differences of marine folk customs in different countries.
