Description:
1. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter Tai Shi (San) Zi No. 1090040227 dated March 18, 2020.
2. In response to the expiration of the ten-year validity period for the Teaching Mentor Certificate under the Teacher Professional Development Practice Program, the Ministry of Education has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to organize the aforementioned program.
3. The target audience for this program refers to current primary and secondary school teachers and principals who obtained their Teaching Mentor certification before 2011, including those certified by the Taipei City Government.
4. The following are important notes regarding the Teaching Mentor Certificate renewal process for the 2020 academic year:
(1) Certificate renewal can be done by choosing one of two methods (details in the attachment):
1. If invited to serve as a Teaching Mentor during the certificate's validity period and complete one of the two related teaching and mentoring activities, you may participate in a renewal workshop to have your certificate reissued.
2. If you have not completed any teaching and mentoring activities during the certificate's validity period, you may be recommended by your school to participate in a renewal workshop and complete four professional practice activities. Upon review and approval, your certificate will be reissued.
(2) Teachers wishing to renew their certificates must undergo review and recommendation by relevant school committees. Then, they need to log in to the "Teacher Professional Development Support Platform" to submit their renewal application and upload relevant documents. Website: https://proteacher.moe.edu.tw.
(3) The application period for certificate renewal is from April 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020.
