Informing you about the National University of Tainan's Center for Visually Impaired Education and Rehabilitation's organization of the "109th Year Special Education Qualified Teacher In-service Training Program for Visually Impaired Specialization Credit Class." Please refer to the details.

Description:  
I. In accordance with the letter from National Tainan University, Ref. No. Nanda Shixun Zi Di 1090007097, dated May 7, 2020.
II. The details of the aforementioned credit class are summarized as follows (please refer to the attached brochure for details):
(1) Training Dates:
1. First phase (10 credits): Summer 2020 (July 20, 2020 - August 20, 2020) and off-campus educational visit seminar in November 2020.
2. Second phase (10 credits): Summer 2021 (July 5, 2021 - August 5, 2021).
(2) Training Location: Qiming Hall, National Tainan University, or contracted educational internship institutions.
(3) Eligibility: (Applicants who meet any of the first three criteria will be given priority for admission if they are currently certified special education teachers).
1. Full-time, certified special education teachers currently employed in public and private senior high schools (including vocational and special education schools) and elementary/junior high schools (including kindergartens), with at least one year of actual teaching experience after obtaining their special education teaching certificate, consistent with the information on the certificate.
2. Full scholarship students in visual impairment education enrolled in teacher training institutions.
3. Substitute or part-time teachers currently employed in public and private senior high schools (including vocational and special education schools) and elementary/junior high schools (including kindergartens) who hold a special education teaching certificate.
4. Male applicants must have completed their military service (exceptions apply to scholarship students).
5. Demonstrated passion for teaching visually impaired students.
III. Teachers who meet the selection criteria and are interested in participating must submit the application documents (application form, copy of ID card, copy of valid teaching certificate, copy of the most recent year's performance review, copies of academic and professional experience, and a declaration letter) through their service school for review and official submission to the bureau by June 3, 2020. (Late submissions will not be accepted).
IV. A total of 16 students will be selected for the credit class based on merit. The list of selected students will be announced on the National Tainan University website on June 30, 2020.
V. Attached are the credit class brochure, application form, and declaration letter, each in one copy. These documents can also be downloaded from the latest news bulletin board on the website of the Center for Visually Impaired Education and Rehabilitation, National Tainan University (http://www2.nutn.edu.tw/vhc/).
