I. In accordance with the letter from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department"), Ministry of Education, dated June 12, 2020, Ref. No. 1080068783.
II. The Department is organizing the aforementioned training program to assist elementary and junior high school teachers in effectively identifying the cultural, linguistic, learning needs, educational background, and academic abilities of transnational transfer students, and to integrate curriculum, instruction, assessment, counseling, family, and learning experiences to establish a long-term teaching and administrative support system.
III. Details of the aforementioned workshop are as follows:
(I) Time: July 21 to July 22, 2020, for a total of 2 days. Participants who attend the entire session will receive 16 hours of training credit.
(II) Location: Classroom 0702, 7th Floor, College of Liberal Arts, National Kaohsiung Normal University (No. 116, Heping 1st Road, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City).
(III) Target Audience:
1. School administrators and teachers.
2. Chinese language teachers who hold the "Ministry of Education Certificate for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language" or have participated in Chinese language teacher training and possess teaching experience.
(IV) Transportation and Accommodation: This workshop provides meals only, not accommodation. Please apply to your original service unit for reimbursement of accommodation and travel expenses in accordance with regulations.
(V) Registration Period and Method:
1. From now until July 17, 2020.
2. Teachers and educational administrators should register directly on the National In-service Teacher Education Network, with the workshop code 2872873 (website: http//www1.inservice.edu.tw/).
3. Non-teachers should fill in the relevant registration information via Google Forms (https://forms.gle/tg1SsoTQvSdHpXTP7).
IV. The aforementioned program is announced on the Transnational Transfer Student Education Network - Activity Information (website: https://tkids.nknu.edu.tw/). Interested participants can download the program from the website.
V. This Bureau approves that school personnel attending the workshop may be granted official (business) leave registration with the school's consent.
