Description:
I. In accordance with the letter No. 1090100406 dated August 26, 2020, from the Department of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Department").
II. This case is commissioned by the Department to the National Taichung University of Science and Technology to organize the "109 Academic Year Outstanding Outdoor Education Lesson Plan Selection." To implement "Rooting Outdoor Education in the Curriculum and Bringing Learning into the Real World," schools are encouraged to combine their unique characteristics and local resources (including mountains, wilderness, and oceans) to develop outdoor education lesson plans that integrate with the national curriculum or school-based curriculum.
III. The selection method mentioned above is summarized as follows (please refer to the attachment for details):
(I) Eligibility: Qualified teachers (including substitute and temporary teachers) currently employed in public and private junior high schools and elementary schools. Applications can be submitted individually or in groups, with a maximum of three people per group.
(II) Selection Groups: Junior High School Group, Elementary School Group (each group's lesson plan activities will be implemented for students of that educational stage).
(III) Deadline: From now until November 15, 2020 (postmark date applies).
(IV) Lesson Plan Content: Outdoor education lesson plans developed within the last 3 years on the following themes (including implementation process and results).
1. Mountain and Wilderness Theme.
2. Ocean Theme.
3. Other Themes.
(V) Submission Method: Submit by mail. Please send the original hard copy of the lesson plan (including attachments 1 to 3 of the implementation method) and a CD to: "Outdoor Education Collaboration Team, Center for General Education, National Taichung University of Science and Technology, No. 129, Section 3, Sanmin Road, North District, Taichung City 404." Please affix the designated cover page (as Attachment 4 of the implementation method) to the envelope.
