| I. | In accordance with the letter from the New Taipei City Government Education Bureau dated July 28, 110 (2021), No. 11013566501. |
| II. | To respond to internationalization and enhance students' professional English proficiency in science and popular science, the New Taipei City Government Education Bureau, the National Taiwan Science Education Center, and National Taiwan Normal University are collaborating to promote the Science and Popular Science Professional English Proficiency Competition. This initiative aims to meet the demands of the new curriculum for foreign language abilities, diverse literacy, and enriching students' learning portfolios, while fostering students' interest in science and English learning. |
| III. | To encourage enthusiastic participation from teachers and students, this competition is free of charge and utilizes an online instant assessment system. The regional competition is divided into 6 areas. Any changes will be announced on the event website (https://sites.google.com/view/ntseccompetition/). Our city belongs to the North Second District. The competition venue and time are as follows: |
| (1) | North Second District: Covers Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, and Miaoli County. |
| (2) | Competition Venue: De-Lin Institute of Technology. |
| (3) | Competition Time: Saturday, November 13, 110 (2021). |
| IV. | Based on participant categories, this competition is divided into three groups: "Senior High School Student Group," "Vocational High School Student Group," and "Teacher Group." Students from the same school should not register for different groups. Each participant can only register for one subject competition. The details for each group are as follows: |
| (1) | Senior High School Student Group: Includes general senior high schools and the academic program (senior high section) of vocational high schools, as well as the academic program of comprehensive high schools (general high school curriculum). |
| (2) | Vocational High School Student Group: Includes vocational high schools, vocational departments attached to senior high schools, and the professional program (vocational high school curriculum) of comprehensive high schools. |
| (3) | Teacher Group: Includes teachers, substitute teachers, or intern teachers teaching in junior high schools, senior high schools, vocational high schools, and universities/colleges. |
| V. | Competition Content: Divided into "Science Professional English Vocabulary" and "Popular Science Professional English Vocabulary." This professional category includes 8 subjects: |
| (1) | Science Professional English Subjects: "Biological Sciences," "Earth Sciences," "Mathematics," "Physics," and "Chemistry." |
| (2) | Popular Science Professional English Subjects: "Natural Sciences," "Life and Information Technology," and "Artificial Intelligence." |
