| 1. | The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become a common language for governments, the global education sector, and the business community worldwide. The integration of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and SDGs (ESDGs) is a global trend in education. In May 2021, UNESCO adopted the Berlin Declaration on ESD, redefining ESDGs. To enhance understanding of the core concepts, trends, and applications of ESD and SDGs among teachers in schools at all levels in Taiwan, the Corporate Sustainability Development Center (CCS) and the CTCI Education Foundation (CTCI EF) are once again organizing the "United Nations Education for Sustainable Development and Goals (ESDGs) Collaborative Curriculum Teacher Professional Development Workshop." |
| 2. | This workshop will feature keynote lectures and lesson plan practical sessions, enabling participating teachers to grasp the latest international core concepts and development trends in Sustainable Development (SD), Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will also provide insights into how the business sector aligns with and connects to global trends through SDGs in practical applications. Furthermore, participating teachers can observe the concrete actions of other schools and, based on this, discuss and construct a school-based curriculum framework and main content centered on ESDGs. |
| 3. | Workshop Information Summary: |
| (1) Registration Information: From now until October 8, 2021 (Friday) at 17:00, only online registration is accepted. |
| (2) Eligibility: Teachers from public and private elementary, junior high, and senior high vocational schools in Taiwan. Individuals or teams are welcome to register. Teams of three are encouraged and may receive priority admission. |
| (3) Announcement of Accepted Participants: Due to limited seating, the organizers will review applications. Upon confirmation of acceptance, participants will proceed to the online registration and payment process. The list of accepted participants for this training program will be announced on October 12, 2021 (Tuesday). |
| (4) Registration Fee: NT$400 for administrative costs. |
| (5) Workshop Dates: Saturday, October 23, 2021, and Sunday, October 24, 2021. |
| (6) Workshop Location: CTCI Group Headquarters Building, Foundation Conference Room (2nd Floor, No. 16, Fushan Road, Beitou District, Taipei City), near MRT Zhishan Station. |
