| II. | Workshop Objectives: |
| (1) | "4th Mathematics Activity Leader Training Workshop": This activity aims to train teachers to help students who are underprepared in mathematics by engaging them in fun, hands-on foundational math activities, thereby building their prior experience for learning mathematics and increasing their willingness to learn. |
| (2) | "Mathematics Literacy-Oriented Teaching Workshop - Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop": This activity primarily aims to cultivate the ability of junior and elementary school mathematics teachers in mathematics literacy-oriented teaching. It is expected to integrate the "Foundation Building into the Classroom" module with the 12-year compulsory education mathematics curriculum, conducted through practical curriculum planning, collaborative preparation, and discussions. This is intended to help junior and elementary school teachers effectively align with the teaching requirements of the 12-year compulsory education, assist students in building their prior experience for learning mathematics through engaging math activities, increase their willingness to learn, and further cultivate their mathematical literacy. |
| III. | Target Audience: Formal teachers, substitute teachers, and acting teachers in junior and elementary schools in this city. |
| IV. | Number of Participants: Divided into three groups: lower-middle elementary, upper elementary, and junior high. Each group can have up to three classes, with a principle of 28 participants per class, subject to adjustment based on registration numbers. |
| V. | Workshop Time and Location: |
| (1) | "4th Mathematics Activity Leader Training Workshop": |
| 1. | Time: October 23, 110 (2021) (Saturday), from 9:00 AM to 5:20 PM. |
| 2. | Location: Teaching and Research Building, Gongguan Campus, National Taiwan Normal University (No. 88, Section 4, Tingzhou Road, Wenshan District, Taipei City 116059). |
| (2) | "Mathematics Literacy-Oriented Teaching Workshop - Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop": |
| 1. | Time: October 24, 110 (2021) (Sunday), from 9:00 AM to 4:10 PM. |
| 2. | Location: Teaching and Research Building, Gongguan Campus, National Taiwan Normal University (No. 88, Section 4, Tingzhou Road, Wenshan District, Taipei City 116059). |
| VI. | Registration Method: |
| (1) | "4th Mathematics Activity Leader Training Workshop": Please complete the registration form by 12:00 PM on October 15, 110 (2021) (Friday) at the following URL (https://forms.gle/yEaDYZTepGbj7Q1AA). Late submissions will not be accepted. |
| (2) | "Mathematics Literacy-Oriented Teaching Workshop - Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop": Please complete the registration form by 12:00 PM on October 15, 110 (2021) (Friday) at the following URL (https://forms.gle/aYiYLutZ88SEqPea7). Late submissions will not be accepted. |
| VII. | Fees: No fees will be charged for this event. Lunch will be provided. Please arrange your own insurance, accommodation, and transportation. |
| VIII. | Certificates and Proof of Participation: |
| (1) | "4th Mathematics Activity Leader" Certificate: |
| 1. | Mathematics teachers who meet the above qualifications and participate in the "Mathematics Activity Leader" training organized by the National Taiwan Normal University Mathematics Education Center, complete all course content (must attend all modules for their group), and obtain certification will be awarded the "4th Mathematics Activity Leader" certificate for their group. |
| 2. | To ensure training quality, participants who do not complete at least 2/3 of the module hours for their group may continue to audit the workshop courses but will not be awarded the "4th Mathematics Activity Leader" certificate. |
| 3. | Those who obtain the "4th Mathematics Activity Leader" qualification are eligible to apply to organize the "Fun Math Camp." |
| (2) | "Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop" Certificate: |
| 1. | Mathematics teachers who meet the above qualifications and participate in the "Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop" training organized by the National Taiwan Normal University Mathematics Education Center, complete all course content (must attend all modules for their group), and obtain certification will be awarded the "Foundation Building into the Classroom Collaborative Preparation Workshop" certificate for their group. |
