I. Basis:
(1) Regulations on the Establishment of Special Education Classes and Specialized Units in Senior High Schools and Below, and Personnel Recruitment.
(2) Regulations on the Recruitment of Special Education Professionals and Assistants.
II. Eligibility:
(1) Citizen of the Republic of China, no age limit, preferably under 55 years old.
(2) Gender is not restricted. High school (vocational) graduate or equivalent educational qualifications.
(3) Possess love, patience, empathy, high cooperativeness, and be willing to care for students with disabilities.
(4) Physically and mentally healthy, of good character, without alcoholism or infectious diseases, and have not violated the Act for Preventing Sexual Violence and related criminal cases.
(5) Special Conditions:
1. Previous relevant special education service experience is preferred.
2. Participation in special education professional development or related workshops for 18 hours or more in the past two years is preferred.
3. Computer word processing skills are preferred.
III. Job Content and Standards: Under the supervision of relevant school personnel, assist with daily living skills, teaching assessments, life guidance, on-campus safety, and other matters, as detailed below:
(1) Assist teachers in guiding students with disabilities in their daily living skills, including toileting (including changing diapers), hygiene, eating (cutting food and feeding), dressing, napping, etc.
(2) Assist teachers in guiding students with disabilities in their leisure activities during breaks, and ensure the safety of students participating in on-campus and off-campus activities and competitions (e.g., sports days, fun fairs).
(3) Assist teachers in guiding students with disabilities in handling emergencies (e.g., seizures, injuries, emotional outbursts, getting lost, etc.).
(4) Assist teachers in guiding students with disabilities in teaching, assessment, and observation records.
(5) Assist in maintaining the safety of students with disabilities (e.g., commuting to and from school, moving around, assisting with school bus access, safety during off-campus excursions, transitions between activities, etc.).
(6) Adjust service recipients and class types (including special education classes and resource classes) in accordance with school staffing needs.
(7) Participate in workshops organized by the city government when necessary to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.
(8) Assist school or special education teachers with related tasks assigned.
(9) Attendance Regulations: Managed in accordance with the attendance and leave regulations for teachers, with daily clock-in and clock-out on time.
IV. Employment Period and Salary Payment Method:
(1) The employment period for the assistant is from November 8, 110 (2021) to January 20, 111 (2022) (no service required during winter and summer breaks, no salary, no year-end bonus or severance pay). A one-month probationary period applies. If found unsuitable during the probationary period, employment will not continue.
(2) Salary is paid hourly during the employment period. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The hourly wage is NT$160, with a maximum of eight working hours per day. Working hours may be adjusted flexibly when necessary.
(3) During the employment period, labor insurance, national health insurance, and pension contributions shall be made in accordance with the Labor Pension Act. However, the Civil Service Employment Act, Salary Act, Performance Evaluation Act, and Retirement Act do not apply, and no objection will be accepted. The employer's contribution will be subsidized based on the actual insured amount, and the individual will bear the self-paid portion.
(4) This vacancy is for a temporary replacement for a special education assistant who is on leave. If the original assistant returns from leave early, causing the reason for replacement to disappear, the replacement shall be terminated unconditionally.

VII. Application Date and Method: Submit the application form (as attached in Appendix I and II of the brochure) in person to the Counseling Office of our school from now until November 4, 110 (Thursday) at 4:00 PM. Original and copy of supporting documents must be submitted for qualification review. (In-person application is required).
VIII. Application Fee: No selection or application fee is required.
IX. Selection Date: Report to the Counseling Office of our school at 9:50 AM on November 5, 110 (Friday). The selection process will begin at 10:00 AM. Applicants who are more than 10 minutes late will be disqualified and cannot raise any objections.
X. Documents to Bring for Application:
(1) One application form (fill in all fields clearly in block letters, affix one recent 2-inch bust photo with no hat and facing forward, and paste it on the application form, refer to Appendix I and II of the brochure).
(2) National ID card (front and back) (If the name and date of birth on the educational certificate and the National ID card do not match, you cannot apply).
(3) Highest academic degree graduation certificate.
(4) One 2-inch photo of yourself with no hat and facing forward, to be affixed to the application form.
(5) According to the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau's document No. 1020028343 dated May 20, 102 (2013), hired personnel are required to submit a 'Criminal Record Certificate' for verification.
(6) Supporting documents: such as certificates of special education workshops, special education service certificates, proof of being a parent of a person with disabilities, etc. (Not required if none).
(7) When applying, submit one copy of the educational certificate related to the application qualifications, and add the words 'Consistent with the original' and affix the applicant's personal seal. (If any submitted documents are found to be false, even if discovered after selection and hiring, the selection qualification will be canceled and the employment will be terminated. The applicant cannot claim any compensation or object.)
XI. Selection Method:
(1) Academic and work experience, and relevant special education practical experience account for 20%.
(2) Oral interview (basic personal information, service philosophy and enthusiasm, special education knowledge and relevant experience, information literacy and computer skills, crisis management ability, etc.) accounts for 80%.
(3) Candidates will be hired based on their overall selection scores. Those who do not reach a total score of 70 will not be hired.
XII. Number of Hires: One regular special education teacher assistant; several reserve candidates. The validity period for reserve candidates is until December 30, 110 (2021).
XIII. Announcement Date of Selection Results:
(1) Results will be posted on the school website http://www.tyjh.tyc.edu.tw/ at 2:00 PM on November 5, 110 (Friday).
(2) The announcement is the official notification. Candidates may inquire by phone, but cannot object on the grounds of not receiving notification.
XIV. Score Re-evaluation:
Those with doubts about the selection results should apply for a re-evaluation in person at our school with their identification between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on November 5, 110 (Friday). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
XV. Reporting Date:
Hired personnel must report to the Counseling Office of our school with their postal passbook by 12:00 PM on November 8, 110 (Monday) to complete the employment procedures and sign the contract. Failure to report on time will be considered a waiver, and reserve candidates will be hired in order.
XVI. Supplementary Provisions:
(1) If any submitted documents are found to be false, even if discovered after selection and hiring, the selection qualification will be canceled and the employment will be terminated. If criminal liability is involved, the applicant shall be responsible. If salary cannot be processed after employment, the employment will be automatically terminated from the date of employment without any compensation or objection from the applicant, and the applicant shall waive the right of prior recourse.
(2) Hired personnel are not allowed to be employed by other schools after being hired.
(3) In case of a tie in scores, candidates will be ranked based on professional experience, oral interview, etc.
(4) Individuals who have violated regulations related to sexual harassment or sexual assault are not eligible for employment.
(5) If the above schedule needs to be changed due to natural disasters or force majeure, it will be announced on the school website. However, if the above dates fall on a day when Taoyuan City Government announces suspension of work and classes due to typhoons, the schedule will be postponed to the next working day (no further announcement will be made).
(6) The assistants hired under these regulations are hourly workers and are not subject to the 'Employment Regulations for Contracted Employees of Executive Yuan and its Affiliated Agencies' or the 'Salary Standards for Contracted Employees Equivalent to Civil Servants by Classification and Position'. The employee cannot request to be formally included in the establishment or receive year-end bonuses, severance pay, or other benefits for any reason.
(7) Hired personnel are required to undergo at least 5 hours of in-service training or workshops each semester.
(8) If the documents provided by the hired personnel are found to be false, employment will be terminated unconditionally. If criminal liability is involved, the individual will bear the relevant criminal responsibility and waive the right of prior recourse.
(9) If the performance evaluation is excellent, re-employment may be considered based on budget allocation and staffing needs.
(10) If there are any matters not covered in these guidelines, they shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
