| 1. | In accordance with the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration's letter Tai Jiao Guo Shu Ti Zi No. 1150073044A dated August 6, 2026. |
| 2. | To address the continuous mutation of the COVID-19 virus, and based on the recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Union, the United States, and Japan regarding the antigen composition of COVID-19 vaccines for 2026-2027 announced in May 2026, the "Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Communicable Disease Control Institute" resolved at its meeting on June 24, 2026, that "the XFG COVID-19 vaccine is the preferred choice for the aforementioned vaccination plan," in order to enhance the public's immune protection against dominant virus strains. |
| 3. | In accordance with WHO and international vaccination recommendations, the Ministry of Health and Welfare will offer COVID-19 vaccines concurrently with influenza vaccines in two phases, starting from October 1, 2026. The schedule and eligible recipients are as follows: |
| (1) | First Phase (from October 1, 2026): |
| 1. | Elderly individuals aged 65 and above. |
| 2. | Indigenous individuals aged 55 and above. |
| 3. | Care recipients in nursing homes, long-term care facilities (services), and their staff. |
| 4. | Pregnant women. |
| 5. | High-risk individuals aged 6 months and above, including those who meet the criteria for public influenza vaccination high-risk groups (patients with chronic diseases, individuals with BMI ≥ 30, patients with rare diseases and major illnesses), as well as patients with tuberculosis, disabilities (ADHD, cerebral palsy, congenital defects, developmental or learning disorders, spinal cord injury), mental illnesses (mood disorders, schizophrenia), and dementia. |
| 6. | Medical and public health personnel. |
| 7. | Staff of kindergartens and childcare centers, and home-based childcare providers (nannies). |
| 8. | Parents or actual caregivers of infants under 6 months old. |
| 9. | Children aged 6 months to under 6 years who have never received a COVID-19 vaccine. |
| (2) | Second Phase (from November 2, 2026): Adults aged 50-64 without high-risk conditions. |
