1. As the peak season for overseas travel in summer approaches, and with recent outbreaks of dengue fever, measles, and rubella internationally, to prevent school faculty and students from contracting infectious diseases while traveling abroad, affecting their health and domestic epidemic prevention, please use various publicity channels to inform faculty and students of the following precautions for overseas travel:
(1) Before traveling abroad, please visit the website of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov.tw) under "International Travel and Health"/"Travel Medicine"/"International Travel Prescription" to check the latest international epidemic situation, understand the infectious disease risks and health education information of your destination country or region, or consult a "Travel Medicine Clinic" 2-4 weeks before departure and follow recommendations for vaccinations and other preventive measures. If you have any questions regarding infectious diseases, you can call the toll-free epidemic prevention hotline 1922 for inquiries.
(2) Preventive measures for travel-related infectious diseases:
1. Wear light-colored long-sleeved clothing or apply mosquito repellent to exposed skin.
2. Wash hands frequently with soap, eat cooked food, and drink bottled water.
3. Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms.
4. Do not come into contact with poultry, cats, dogs, or wild animals.
(3) If you develop symptoms suggestive of infectious diseases such as fever, diarrhea, rash, or respiratory discomfort during your trip or upon return, please actively inform airport quarantine personnel upon arrival. If you feel unwell within 21 days after returning to the country, seek medical attention promptly and inform the doctor about your travel history and contact history.
2. If faculty or students develop symptoms suggestive of infectious diseases, please actively report to the local health authority or call the epidemic prevention hotline 1922 for timely intervention and prevention of infectious disease outbreaks in schools.
